Job summary

Cascades in Ashland, VA is offering an Engineering Internship for students in mechanical, industrial, chemical, or electrical programs. You will analyze production and maintenance issues to support continuous improvement and help with root-cause analyses.

Youll monitor equipment performance, assist with chemistry optimization and trials, collect and report manufacturing data, and participate in projects shaping operational decisions.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Electrical, or related Engineering program.
• Comfortable with computers, manufacturing data, and reporting tools.
• Willing to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment with heat and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production and maintenance issues to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Complete root cause analyses and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor equipment performance and assist with troubleshooting activities.
• Support chemistry optimization projects and participate in chemical trials.
• Collect, analyze, and report manufacturing data to support operational decision-making.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Assist with other engineering and operational projects as required.
