Job summary

Clovis Community College is seeking an Engineering Instructor for a part-time faculty pool. The instructor will deliver engineering courses across formats (face-to-face, online, hybrid) and engage with a diverse student population.

Qualifications include a Master’s in engineering (or equivalent), or a relevant degree with additional Master’s in math/physics/CS/chem/geo, or an applicable CC credential. Equity-minded leadership and collaboration are valued.

Qualifications

• Evidence of responsiveness to diverse student populations and equity-minded practice.
• Master’s in engineering or relevant field; or equivalent education/experience.
• California Community College Credential or equivalent education/experience may apply.

Responsibilities

• Teach a part-time schedule of engineering courses as assigned.
• Use varied pedagogies and technology for face-to-face, online, or hybrid formats.
• Communicate effectively with students, faculty and staff.
• Maintain course outlines of record and syllabi; adhere to district policies.
• Evaluate student progress with tests, assignments and exams; provide timely grading.
• Maintain classroom records and timely submission of reports.
• Ability to teach in evening/weekend and off-campus settings as needed.
• Perform all duties of instructors as required by administrative regulations.
