Job summary

Jefferson Parish is seeking an Engineering Inspector II to coordinate inspections and oversee civil engineering projects for the Department of Engineering. The role requires a current Class IV Water Distribution license and several years of municipal utility inspection experience.

Qualifications

• Requires current Class IV Water Distribution license issued by the Louisiana State Department of Health & Hospitals.
• Minimum work experience in inspection, construction, and/or maintenance/repair of municipal waterlines, sanitary sewerage lines, and/or drainage outfalls.
• Substitution options include a Bachelor's degree for four years of experience or an Associate's degree for two years.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inspections of engineering assignments for department personnel.
• Perform skilled inspections and project oversight of construction, repair, and maintenance projects.
• Collaborate with Parish departments, engineering/architect firms, utility companies, and contractors to resolve issues and manage changes.
