Job summary

GovCIO is looking for an Engineering and Implementation Manager to be based in Fairfax, VA, supporting a Department of State engagement. The role oversees the 24/7/365 EOC and all engineering projects, including hosting across on-prem and cloud environments.

Required qualifications include 12+ years of senior leadership, Top Secret clearance, and experience with enterprise monitoring tools. The position requires periodic travel to customer sites in support of critical missions.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience managing and leading large engineering and operations staff for projects of similar size, scope, and complexity.
• At least 5 years managing enterprise monitoring, operations center functions, and triaging critical incidents.
• Experience managing changes in complex infrastructure environments and provisioning infrastructure.
• Experience leading multiple projects in parallel in a production environment.
• Experience migrating systems/applications to cloud environments.
• Top Secret clearance required.
• ITIL Intermediate V5+ and PMP are desirable.
• Experience with the listed monitoring tools (Oracle EM, Splunk, AppDynamics, Zabbix).

Responsibilities

• Oversee all engineering projects and the 24/7/365 EOC, delivering services for physical and virtual hosting environments.
• Lead strategic infrastructure planning and resilient architecture initiatives.
• Coordinate and track Tier II/III incidents and enterprise monitoring actions.
• Manage enterprise monitoring tools and ensure visibility, alerting, and dashboards across IT environments.
