LEO A DALY in Minneapolis seeks an Engineer I to assist with engineering system design across multiple projects, performing design calculations, specifications, reports, and cost estimates under supervision.

Responsibilities include supporting engineers, collecting data, basic analyses, and drawings. The role offers growth toward EIT certification and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• 0-1 year experience preferred.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or FE certification preferred.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, MATLAB, SolidWorks or discipline-specific software.
• Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and develop solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assist Engineers and Designers in the design and detail of engineering systems; write/edit specifications and research design options.
• Apply prescribed techniques and procedures to perform tasks; research findings and provide recommendations.
• Collect data, gather information and perform basic computations; may prepare drawings and visual aids.
• Participate in meetings and reviews to ensure code compliance; may conduct site investigations and observations.
• May interact with staff, the public, officials, and contractors; limited client-facing responsibilities.
