Job summary

Urban Engineers is seeking qualified college students to join the Construction Services Team on complex highway, bridge, facility, and aviation projects in the Harrisburg and Allentown region. This role provides practical hands-on experience in construction inspection and management while you complete a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree.

You will monitor on-site progress, support the Site Supervisor and Construction Manager, and assist with submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings,

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related college program.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent oral, written, and communication and organizational skills.
Previous experience in design, inspection, or construction management of heavy highway/bridge/facilities/airport projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

On-site performance monitoring of highway, bridge, aviation, and facility projects and documenting that they are being constructed in conformance with the plans and specifications.
Provide direct support to the Site Supervisor, Construction Manager, or Construction Engineer.
Assist with project submissions, including submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Construction Services Team.
