Job summary

Intertek-PSI in Westminster, CO is seeking an Engineering Field Technician I to perform testing and site observations in the A/E/C sector. You will operate testing equipment, reference drawings and specifications, and document results under supervision.

Preferred candidates have some construction experience and a valid driver’s license; certifications such as ACI, ICC, PTI, WAQTC are valued. This on-site role offers benefits and growth within Intertek.

Qualifications

The Engineering Field Technician I is responsible for performing a variety of testing, project specific observations and site assessment duties under general supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures.

Salary & Benefits Information

The base wage or salary range for this position is $20 - $30/hr depending on experience level. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

What you'll do:

• Operate testing equipment and conduct testing (example: Soil, concrete or other) and provide assessment of data through reporting
• Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams
• Use specific methods and perform tasks to make detailed observations of site activities and give limited interpretation of results
• Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

• Some experience in the construction industry
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record
• Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
• Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance
• Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound
• Ability to kneel and squat occasionally
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures
• Ability to climb occasionally, and work at various heights
