Job summary

The Walsh Group is seeking Interns for our Chicagoland Region to gain hands-on experience in project engineering and field management. Interns may work on jobsites or in the office, helping with pursuits in estimating and preconstruction.

This 12-week program prepares you for leadership roles and offers medical insurance, holidays, 401(k) matching, and EAP benefits. Some roles may relocate or travel as needed. Base pay ranges from $21 to $24 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Willing to commit to a 12-week schedule.
• Some roles may require relocation.
• Base pay range $21–$24 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Assist project manager or field supervision staff with project coordination.
• Estimating cost for change orders.
• Soliciting bidders and coordinate subcontractor activity.
• Scheduling of various contracts and materials.
• Document control.
• Coordination of subcontractors.
• Safety management.
• Participation in team meetings.
• Writing RFIs, submittals, and assisting in change orders.

Education
