Job summary

347 Group, Inc. is seeking a Substation Drafter to support the design of substation engineering projects.

You will create electrical drawings for facilities, including lighting systems, power systems, communications, security, and fire detection, in compliance with the NEC. Under supervision, you will develop entry-level drawings using computer-aided design software and demonstrate knowledge of design development and construction documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• At least 3 years of professional AutoCAD experience with electrical design.
• Active participant in an employee-owned culture is required.

Responsibilities

• Create electrical drawings for facilities (lighting, power, communications, security, fire detection) per NEC.
• Develop entry-level drawings using CAD under supervision.
• Demonstrate knowledge of design development, construction documents, and engineering drafting.
• Perform other duties as needed.

The Substation Drafter supports the design of substation engineering projects.

Primary Responsibilities

• Create electrical drawings for facilities, such as lighting systems, power systems, communications, security, and fire detection in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Develop entry-level drawings by using computer-aided design software under the direct supervision of other Electrical Technicians or Engineers
• Demonstrate knowledge of procedures for production of design developments and construction documents, and a thorough knowledge of engineering planning, drafting, and detailing
• Perform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• 3 years plus of professional experience with AutoCAD including electrical design
