Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain documentation processes with high accuracy and organization.
  • Advance the Design Control Process to support regulatory compliance.
  • Organize and maintain engineering documents: drawings, specs, reports, manuals.
  • Track version control, drawing numbers, and archival processes.

The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As the Engineering Document Coordinator within the Global Engineering, Technology, and Facilities organization of Solventum, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Managing and maintaining documentation processes with a high degree of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Advancing the Design Control Process as needed to support Solventum's businesses while maintaining compliance.
  • Organizing and maintaining engineering documents, including drawings, specifications, reports, and manuals.
  • Managing and tracking version control, drawing numbers, and archival processes.
  • Ensuring documentation meets company and industry standards, regulatory requirements, and quality expectations.
  • Auditing and verifying document accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Managing access control processes to distribute, retrieve, and protect documentation.
  • Providing technical support for document formatting, templates, and software systems, including SharePoint, PLM, CAD, SAP, and related platforms.
  • Owning and maintaining the knowledge management system and SharePoint site where communities of practice, resources, and tools reside.
Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) AND two (2) years of experience using document management systems (e.g., SharePoint, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Documentum, SAP) to support design control processes in a regulated industry

OR

  • High School Diploma/GED (completed and verified prior to start) AND six (6) years of experience using document management systems (e.g., SharePoint, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Documentum, SAP) to support design control processes in a regulated industry

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Experience maintaining documentation, records, and controlled documents with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities, timelines, and documentation activities simultaneously.
  • Experience working independently and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support documentation, design control, quality, or engineering activities.
  • Experience applying design control, document control, or quality system requirements within a regulated environment.
  • Experience identifying and implementing improvements to documentation, document control, or design control processes within a matrixed organization.
Work location:
  • Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Eagan, MN an average of 2 days per week)
Travel: May include up to 5% domestic and/or international

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $64,800 - $89,100, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
