Job summary

Solventum is seeking an Engineering Document Coordinator to strengthen our documentation and design control processes. You will organize engineering documents, maintain version control, and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

In this hybrid role, you will support SharePoint, PLM, CAD, and SAP systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve documentation practices. A strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

  • Must have strong document management experience in a regulated industry.
  • Experience supporting design control processes with accurate documentation.
  • Proven ability to manage version control, archives, and access permissions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain documentation processes with high accuracy and organization.
  • Advance the Design Control Process to support business needs while ensuring compliance.
  • Organize engineering documents including drawings, specs, reports, and manuals.
  • Manage version control, drawing numbers, and archival processes.
  • Ensure documentation meets regulatory and quality expectations.
  • Audit document accuracy and compliance.
  • Control access to distribute and protect documents.
  • Provide technical support for document formatting and systems (SharePoint, PLM, CAD, SAP).
  • Maintain knowledge management systems and SharePoint knowledge sites.

The Impact You'll Make in this Role
  • Managing and maintaining documentation processes with a high degree of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Advancing the Design Control Process as needed to support Solventum's businesses while maintaining compliance.
  • Organizing and maintaining engineering documents, including drawings, specifications, reports, and manuals.
  • Managing and tracking version control, drawing numbers, and archival processes.
  • Ensuring documentation meets company and industry standards, regulatory requirements, and quality expectations.
  • Auditing and verifying document accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Managing access control processes to distribute, retrieve, and protect documentation.
  • Providing technical support for document formatting, templates, and software systems, including SharePoint, PLM, CAD, SAP, and related platforms.
  • Owning and maintaining the knowledge management system and SharePoint site where communities of practice, resources, and tools reside.
Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) AND two (2) years of experience using document management systems (e.g., SharePoint, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Documentum, SAP) to support design control processes in a regulated industry
  • High School Diploma/GED (completed and verified prior to start) AND six (6) years of experience using document management systems (e.g., SharePoint, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Documentum, SAP) to support design control processes in a regulated industry

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Experience maintaining documentation, records, and controlled documents with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities, timelines, and documentation activities simultaneously.
  • Experience working independently and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support documentation, design control, quality, or engineering activities.
  • Experience applying design control, document control, or quality system requirements within a regulated environment.
  • Experience identifying and implementing improvements to documentation, document control, or design control processes within a matrixed organization.
Work location:

Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Eagan, MN an average of 2 days per week)

May include up to 5% domestic and/or international
