Job summary

Koppers Inc. in Pittsburgh seeks an executive leader to direct Corporate Engineering, align priorities with enterprise strategy, and drive capital project governance. You will manage a diverse team of engineers and managers across mechanical, electrical, chemical/process, and reliability disciplines.

The role requires extensive experience in manufacturing or chemical environments, strong collaboration with senior leaders, and the ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; advanced degree is a plus.
• PE license and/or PMP certification preferred.
• 15+ years in progressive engineering roles, with capital project experience.
• 5+ years in people leadership managing engineers and cross-functional teams.
• Experience in a matrixed, multi-unit environment with enterprise alignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for Corporate Engineering.
• Coordinate engineering support and resources across units for timely delivery.
• Align engineering investments with capital planning and risk objectives.
• Establish enterprise-wide engineering standards and governance.
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary engineering organization.
• Drive continuous improvement in processes and service delivery.
