Job summary

Hyatt Regency Lake Washington at Seattle's Southport is seeking an Assistant Director of Engineering to oversee resort engineering operations, including HVAC, refrigeration, electrical systems, and safety training. Provide technical and administrative support to the property and report to the Director of Engineering.

You will lead preventative maintenance, manage inventory and budgets, and ensure prompt responses to maintenance requests while aligning with Hyatt’s Culture of Care and service

Qualifications

• Experience at Assistant Director of Engineering level or higher in hotel/resort maintenance preferred.
• College degree in Engineering/Facility Maintenance (preferred).
• Strong communication and computer skills.
• Willingness to work weekends/holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of resort engineering operations including HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and safety training.
• Manage preventative maintenance programs for guestrooms and public areas with documentation and scheduling.
• Oversee inventory, purchase orders, and budget alignment for maintenance.
• Ensure rapid response to maintenance requests from guests and staff.
• Lead capital projects and assist in annual capital planning.
• Monitor fire alarm, evacuation procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
