The City of Vista seeks an Engineering Director to lead the Engineering Department, overseeing CIP, land development, traffic, sewer and stormwater utilities, and to partner with City Council, staff and contractors to deliver projects.

Ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with construction knowledge, capable of managing broad programs, providing staff support to the City Manager, and upholding the city’s standards of service and integrity.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Public Administration or closely related field.
• Eight years of administrative level experience planning, organizing and directing broad engineering programs.
• Licensed Civil Engineer registered by the State Board for P.E., L.S., and Geologists.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, organize, direct, and administer CIP, land development, traffic, sewer, and stormwater programs.
• Coordinate activities with other divisions, agencies, and the public.
• Provide staff assistance to the City Manager and serve as City Engineer.
• Participate as a member of the executive management team and collaborate with contractors.
