Job summary

A premier full-service convention hotel in Louisville, KY is seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to lead the engineering and maintenance operations of this large-scale property.

With extensive guest accommodations, significant meeting and event spaces, and multiple F&B outlets, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced hospitality engineering leader ready to drive safety, reliability, and guest comfort.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive engineering/maintenance experience in a large hotel or resort.
• Previous Engineering leadership/management experience is required.
• Experience with 500+ guest rooms and large convention hotel operations.
• Strong knowledge of fire/life-safety systems, building codes, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience leading a large engineering team and managing budgets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all Engineering and Maintenance operations for the property.
• Develop and manage a comprehensive preventive maintenance program.
• Ensure guestrooms, meeting spaces, F&B outlets, and public areas are properly maintained.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Engineering team while maintaining accountability.
• Manage engineering budgets, capital projects, contractors, and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and building regulations.
• Respond to emergency maintenance and building-system issues.
• Partner with hotel leadership to maintain a safe, well-maintained property and guest experience.
