ENFRA is seeking an Engineering Design Manager in Houston to lead design production through the full project life cycle, from development handoff to construction closeout. This role ensures timely delivery, quality outcomes, and optimal use of production staff.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 5+ years in design related to mechanical/electrical/building systems, and strong communication and leadership skills. 25% travel is expected to site and office locations.

Formación

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of design-related experience with mechanical, electrical, building automation systems, or building operation management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Safety-focused.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD software packages.

Responsabilidades

• Supports day-to-day management of design tasks, ensuring timely progress and accurate documentation.
• Guides and assigns tasks to junior staff, monitors performance, and mentors the team.
• Ensures adherence to design standards and safety protocols while implementing process updates and quality checks.
• Assists in tracking labor hours and budgets, reviews time entries, and supports resource planning.
• Facilitates clear communication between staff, project managers, and leadership; supports client interactions under supervision.
• Participates in team activities and contributes to a positive culture; handles additional responsibilities as assigned.
