California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks seeks an Associate or Full Professor to chair the Engineering program. The role includes leading the development of a new B.S. in Engineering, pursuing ABET accreditation, and building industry partnerships while teaching and advising undergraduates.

The position requires a Ph.D. in Engineering and a strong commitment to research with undergraduates. The chair will oversee program administration, budgeting, and multidisciplinary collaboration

Competenze

• Possession of a Ph.D. in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Track record of teaching, scholarship, and service commensurate with appointment at associate or full professor.

Mansioni

• Fulfill a 24-unit faculty workload with teaching and leadership responsibilities.
• Teach undergraduate engineering courses, including general and advanced courses.
• Advise students and maintain ongoing student mentoring.
• Maintain an active research program with undergraduates in mentored projects.
• Attend and participate in committees and department, division, campus, and university meetings.
• Represent the Engineering Program in Program Director meetings and build industry partnerships.
