Job summary

ERM is seeking a Consulting Associate, Engineer to support environmental and engineering projects from Charleston, WV with a remote/hybrid arrangement. You will contribute to civil and environmental designs, manage site plans, and prepare technical reports, working across energy, manufacturing, mining, and chemical sectors.

Join a multidisciplinary team, gain practical engineering experience, and advance sustainability goals while traveling to client locations as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Geotechnical, or related engineering field, or equivalent experience.
Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with project managers, technical teams, and clients.
Driver's License Required: valid license and ability to travel to client locations.

Responsibilities

Perform environmental inspections and support stormwater compliance activities during construction.
Assist with civil and environmental engineering design deliverables, including site plans, erosion and sediment control plans, and stormwater management plans.
Prepare technical reports, permit applications, and field documentation.
Participate in both field-based and office-based project work across a variety of energy, manufacturing, and infrastructure projects.
Collaborate with project teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions that meet client objectives.
Ensure health, safety, risk, and quality standards are maintained on all project assignments.
