Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a savvy Engineering consultant to join as a remote, U.S.-based engineer traveling weekly to client plants and leading a defined workstream with Discovery, Strategy, and Implementation.

You will work closely with plant and operations leaders to optimize production flow and drive measurable improvements. Ideal candidates have a mechanical/manufacturing background, Lean/SMED expertise, 3–5 years of hands-on experience, and the ability to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship; ability to obtain security clearance.
• B.S. in Engineering, ideally Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial
• 3–5 years of hands-on manufacturing experience
• Strong Lean Manufacturing and SMED application experience
• Proven ability to structure projects, own a workstream, and drive implementation
• Willingness to travel every single week

Comp: $120k base + $17k Retention Bonus (5k at sign on & 12k prorated through end of first year) + $12 - $26k Performance Bonus = up to $150k Total Comp

This Engineering consulting firm is looking for a savvy Engineer to join their team in a highly visible, client-facing role. You’ll travel weekly to engineering plants, integrate with 2–10 person consulting teams, and own a defined workstream aligned to your strengths. Projects follow a clear cadence with Discovery, Strategy, and Implementation. You’ll work closely with plant and operations leaders to improve output, reduce changeover times, and optimize production flow. The strongest candidate come from an engineering background with plant/operations leadership experience, Lean/SMED expertise, and an understanding of business process (ideally coming from MBA program).
