Job summary

NC State University, Raleigh, NC, seeks a Departmental Communications Manager within the College of Engineering to lead a centralized communications team and support marketing for multiple departments, including Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science.

You will manage creative staff, drive storytelling about student success and research, coordinate with campus partners, and ensure strategic messaging across internal and external channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment.
• Excellent reporting and writing skills.
• Experience with photography and video production, and graphic design.
• Basic knowledge of multiple social media platforms, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Wordpress.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of creative specialists supporting marketing and communications for multiple departments.
• Ensure project management and resource utilization to enable authentic storytelling and internal/external communications.
• Oversee staff supporting four academic departments within the College of Engineering and cross-functional support across the college.
• Plan and report on annual communications plans and measure results of outreach efforts.
