Job summary

NC State University in Raleigh seeks a Departmental Communications Manager to lead a centralized team that supports engineering departments with authentic storytelling and internal/external communications. You will manage creative staff, projects, and strategic brand initiatives across the College of Engineering.

You will collaborate with department leaders to deliver high-impact communications, plan programs, and track outcomes to strengthen the university’s reputation and student engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment.
• Excellent reporting and writing skills.
• Experience with photography and video production, and graphic design.
• Basic knowledge of multiple social media platforms, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Wordpress.

Responsibilities

• Oversee marketing and communications staff supporting four academic departments in the College of Engineering.
• Coordinate videography, writing, digital media, and social media management activities.
• Ensure project management and prioritization of requests with college leadership.
• Develop annual communications plans and measure results across departments.
