Job summary

Caterpillar invites engineering students to join the Parallel Co‑op Program, an early talent pipeline. You will work with product development teams on design, simulation, and control tasks, with full‑time summer in-person work and part‑time school-year duties at various Caterpillar locations.

You’ll gain mentoring, hands‑on responsibilities, and exposure to embedded software, analytics, and system design while pursuing an ABET‑accredited degree.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled full-time in a 4-year ABET-accredited engineering or engineering technology program.
• Minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA (no rounding) at current institution.
• Top candidates will have management experience, prior internship/co‑op/research experience.

Responsibilities

• Engage in design and simulation tasks supporting Caterpillar product development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams from concept to production.
• Develop/test control algorithms using Matlab/Simulink and support embedded software work.
• Support engineering data analytics and process improvements on real projects.
