Tampa Electric Company is offering a Spring 2027 Student Internship - Engineer (Big Bend) co-op program based in Florida. The position supports Energy Supply engineers with a variety of technical projects aligned to the student's field of study.

Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited university, pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Engineering, with junior or senior status or pursuing graduate studies.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an accredited university in a related discipline for the first semester the student joins the program.
• To qualify as a co-op student, enrollment in the university's co-op program (proof of enrollment required); if not eligible for the co-op program (or program unavailable), the student will be considered an intern.

Responsabilités

• Review and analyze required codes, standards, and regulations to support design efforts.
• Review engineering documents, including design drawings, reports, and specifications.
• Perform walkdowns and field engineering activities to support design and construction efforts.
• Monitor ongoing construction activities to verify conformance with design drawings.
