Job summary

Smithers-Oasis in Kent, Ohio, invites a junior chemical engineering student to join the Corporate Technology team as an Engineering Co-Op from January through August 2027. You will assist with foam sampling and testing, enter test results, and help develop foam modification ideas in a hands-on manufacturing setting.

What We Need:

We are seeking a junior in college currently pursuing a chemical engineering degree to work with our Corporate Technology team in the role of Engineering Co-Op from January through August of 2027!

What You Will Do:

Some specific areas of focus for this Engineering Intern role will include (but will not be limited to):

• Assist with foam sampling and testing
• Data entry of test results
• Assist with making test foams
• Collaborate on ideas for foam modifications

Employment Type: Intern

Hours Required Weekly: 40 hours/week for the initial 3 months, and then 29 hours/week starting on the 90th day.

Anticipated Length of Internship: 8 Months

Pay Rate: $20/hour
