Rust-Oleum is seeking an Engineering Co-Op for the Spring/Summer 2027 session in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. This hands-on role involves working on real projects in processing, milling, and paint making operations, giving you practical insight into manufacturing engineering.

The internship is full-time (40 hours/week), January 2027 through August 2027, Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm, with a pay rate of $25.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Tasked with real company projects that will help you understand the role and responsibilities of working in manufacturing.
• In-depth training on Lean Manufacturing initiatives including 5S, 8 Wastes, SMED & Root Cause Problem Solving.
• Projects in processing, milling, and paint making operations to improve efficiency, throughput and safety.
• Lean & Six Sigma activities or efficiency and safety projects for the packaging production area.

• To confirm if you want to become an Operations Engineer. You'll be tasked with real company projects that will help you understand the role and responsibilities of working in manufacturing. From incorporating new machines to maximizing efficiencies into our process, you'll impact bottom-line company results.
• In depth training on the Rust-Oleum Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing Initiatives including Toyota Production System training- 5S, 8 Wastes, Quick Changeover (SMED) & Root Cause Problem Solving
• Specific projects in our processing, milling, and paint making operations. Projects to include equipment & process changes to improve efficiency, throughput, and safety.
• Additional projects may include Lean & Six Sigma activities or efficiency & safety projects for the packaging production area.
