Pima County Development Services Department, Site Review Engineering Division, seeks an Engineering Assistant II to support review of private development projects across the county. Join a collaborative team of engineers, planners, inspectors and other professionals to apply land development standards and advance infrastructure projects in public works, drainage, roadways, and utilities.

This in-office role is based in Tucson, AZ and cannot be remote.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related field with two years of preregistration engineering experience.
• Qualifying education and experience must be clearly documented in the Education and Work Experience sections.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering assistants and technicians on reviews.
• Review and resolve engineering problems for public works and sanitary sewer facilities.
• Prepare drawings, plans, estimates and reports for construction projects.
• Coordinate development project reviews with internal divisions, external agencies and utilities.
• Develop or revise standard details for sanitary sewer construction.
• Assist in intake and issuance of permits and related testing procedures.
