Job summary

Jabil in Florence, KY is seeking an Engineering Assistant I to support test and measurement activities in a manufacturing setting. This role follows a fixed Sunday–Tuesday and every other Wednesday 6 PM–6 AM shift (402/B) to keep production running smoothly.

You will set up, calibrate and maintain test equipment, run standard procedures, collect data and assist engineers with analysis and process improvements, while maintaining safe, organized work areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree in engineering technology or related field preferred.
• 0–2 years of manufacturing or technical support experience.
• Basic understanding of electronic components and test methodologies.
• Proficiency with standard lab equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes) preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills, including MS Office.
• Willing to work a 12-hour shift schedule, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine setup, calibration, and maintenance of test equipment and fixtures.
• Execute standardized test procedures on products and components, recording results.
• Assist engineers in analysis of test data and defect identification.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment malfunctions and perform minor repairs.
• Collect and organize data for engineering reports and presentations.
• Support process improvements and maintain safe, clean work area.
• May assist with inventory management of engineering materials.
