Job summary

ABM is seeking an Engineering Assistant to work with the Assistant Director of Building Engineering and support the day-to-day operations of building systems and maintenance. You will help ensure HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fire safety equipment function properly and assist with routine testing, installations and repairs.

You will collaborate with contractors and play a key role in maintaining a safe, efficient and compliant facilities environment for our clients and team in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day operations of building systems and maintenance.
• Help ensure HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fire safety equipment function properly.
• Assist with routine testing, installations and repairs.
• Collaborate with contractors and vendors as needed.
• Assist with other facilities duties as required.

Job description

Pay: $34.00 per hour.

The Engineering Assistant will work directly with the Assistant Director of Building Engineering and will support the day-to-day operations of building systems and maintenance. The role involves ensuring the proper functioning of essential systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fire safety equipment. The Engineering Assistant will also assist with routine testing, installations, repairs, collaborate with contractors, and assist with other facilities duties as needed. This role is ideal for individuals seeking hands-on experience in building engineering and maintenance within a dynamic and supportive team environment.
