Job summary

Swissôtel Chicago, a luxury hotel in downtown Chicago, is seeking an Engineer Apprentice to support experienced engineers in maintenance, repairs, and installation work. You will help maintain heating, cooling, ventilation, and energy systems while upholding safety and hotel standards.

Under direct supervision, you will install and verify building systems, use safety equipment, and communicate project status.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to anticipate and focus on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous.
• Detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks.
• Highly responsible & reliable.
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs, and verifies proper operation of building systems and equipment.
• Wears and/or uses appropriate safety equipment.
• Uses computers to enter and access job related information.
• Performs related job duties as may be assigned.
• Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Safely operates the facility in accordance with applicable government and regulatory requirements.
