Job summary

Swissôtel Chicago in Chicago, IL is seeking an Engineer Apprentice to support licensed engineers with maintenance, repair, and installation work on heating, cooling and energy systems within a luxury hotel.

Under supervision, you will learn to install and verify building systems, perform safe operations, and communicate progress. The role requires rotating shifts, teamwork, and strong guest-service mindset in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a current member of the International Union of Operating Engineers – Local 399 Engineer Apprenticeship program.
• Must be enrolled in apprenticeship program through IUOE Local 399.
• Must maintain good standing with IUOE Local 399 throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs, and verifies proper operation of building systems and equipment.
• Wears and/or uses appropriate safety equipment.
• Uses computers to enter and access job related information.
• Performs related job duties as may be assigned.
• Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Safely operates the facility in accordance with all applicable government and regulatory requirements.
