Job summary

Google in Mountain View is seeking an Engineering Analyst for the YouTube Trust and Safety team to identify and remove disruptive content and users in a high-volume, global environment.

You will work cross-functionally with engineers and product managers to fight abuse across Google products, using data insights and scalable processes.

The role emphasizes rigorous problem-solving, proactive communication, and protecting users, advertisers, and publishers.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in data analysis, including identifying trends, generating summary statistics, and drawing insights from quantitative and qualitative data.

  • Experience in SQL (e.g., SQL, MySQL, MapReduce).

Minimum qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience in data analysis, including identifying trends, generating summary statistics, and drawing insights from quantitative and qualitative data.

  • 2 years of experience managing projects and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.

  • Experience in SQL (e.g., SQL, MySQL, MapReduce).


Preferred qualifications


  • Master's degree in a quantitative discipline.

  • 2 year of experience with machine learning systems.

  • 2 year of experience with one or more of the following languages: SQL, R, Python, or C++.

  • Experience leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) to automate the detection and mitigation of platform abuse, including spam, phishing, or violative content.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $132000 - $189000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
