Job summary

CRL Technologies, Inc. in Lexington Park, MD, is seeking an Engineering Analyst (Design, Drafting, and Installation) to support on-site DoD programs at Patuxent River. The role covers design, drafting, installation activities, and risk management for PMA-268.

On-site work is required; Final DoD Top Secret clearance is mandatory. The team uses SolidWorks, Creo Parametric, and Siemens NX to model layouts and installation approaches with a signing bonus and relocation assistance offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering-support for DoD PMA-268 program covering design, drafting and installation.
• Analyze SWaPC impacts and develop recommendations for program objectives.
• Develop and maintain documentation: DGD, IGD, IIP, ICD.
• Review contractor and DOR deliverables for conformance with standards.
• Model and visualize design approaches using CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, NX).
• Identify, document, and track engineering risks; support risk metrics.

This position does not provide a telework option. Candidate must be willing to work on-site in Patuxent River, MD.

CRL provides a signing bonus and potential relocation assistance for this position.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide engineering-support and risk-management services for the execution of an advanced development and research program in support of platform integration (PMA-268). The engineering-support scope encompasses design, drafting, and installation (DDI) activities such as, but not limited to, the following:
• Provide support for engineering execution by performing technical analysis of platform arrangement/layout and Size, Weight, Power, and Cooling (SWaPC) impacts, developing recommendations that inform program objectives and design decisions.
• Support and coordinate the development and maintenance of technical documentation such as, but not limited to, Design Guidance Documents (DGD), Installation Guidance Documents (IGD), Installation Information Packages (IIP), and Interface Control Documents (ICD).
• Analyze contractor and Designer-of-Record (DOR) design and drafting deliverables, as permitted by law and regulation, reviewing packages each design-review cycle for conformance with vendor drafting standards and program requirements.
• Support program management and team leads in design reviews and in processes for future program activities, using CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo Parametric, Siemens NX) to model, verify, and visualize design and installation approaches.
• Provide risk management for design and installation activities in accordance with the DoD Risk Management Guide for Defense Acquisition Programs: identify, document, and track engineering and installation risks in the program risk database; develop and report risk metrics for program leadership decision points and design reviews; and support the Alteration Installation Team (AIT) in mitigating installation-related risks.

Required Education

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering from an accredited college or university.

Required Experience

Required Experience: Candidate must have at least five (5) years of experience in DoD program office(s).

Desired Experience

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe products, and database management.
• CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, Creo Parametric, Siemens NX).
• Familiarity with NAVSEA SEA 05 drafting/design standards and NAWCAD WOLF SAIW / oLSI ship-integration processes.
