Job description

Our client, an innovative advanced energy technology company focused on developing next-generation power systems, is looking for an Engineering Analysis Manager. This role will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for delivering high-quality engineering analysis in support of complex, mission-critical programs.

Location:

Seattle, WA – Hybrid (Onsite 3 days/week)

Compensation:

The annual base salary range for this role is $175,000 - $210,000.

Additional Compensation:

This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonus or other incentive compensation.

Overview:

The Engineering Analysis Manager will lead a team of structural, thermal, and nuclear analysts supporting the development and deployment of advanced power systems. This position combines technical leadership with people management, ensuring high-quality analytical outputs while aligning team priorities with broader program goals.

Summary:

This is a strategic leadership hire with direct reports, responsible for guiding technical analysis efforts, managing team performance, and driving continuous improvement across analysis tools and processes. The role partners closely with cross-functional engineering and program teams to support integrated product development in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, mentorship, and oversight to a team of mechanical and nuclear analysts
  • Review and guide structural, thermal, and nuclear analysis to ensure technical rigor and quality
  • Manage team workload, resource allocation, and project prioritization across multiple programs
  • Support employee development through coaching, feedback, and performance management
  • Partner with design, systems engineering, materials, and program management teams
  • Serve as a technical escalation point for analysis approaches, assumptions, and modeling strategies
  • Drive continuous improvement of analysis workflows, tools, and documentation practices
  • Communicate progress, risks, and resource needs to senior leadership
  • Represent the analysis function in cross-functional technical discussions
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture
Qualifications:
  • B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in engineering analysis (structural, thermal, mechanical, or nuclear)
  • 3+ years of experience managing or leading technical teams
  • Strong expertise in at least one analysis discipline; FEA experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working under quality standards such as AS9100, NQA-1, or similar
  • Ability to identify technical risks and guide teams toward practical engineering solutions
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly
  • Proven ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams

  • Experience working in multidisciplinary analysis environments
  • Background supporting complex or first-of-a-kind engineering systems
  • Demonstrated success improving processes, tools, or team efficiency
  • Interest in developing leadership capabilities and mentoring others
