Job summary

Germanna Community College is seeking an Engineering Adjunct for the 2027 academic year to teach both in-person and online. Adjuncts teach up to 12 credit hours in fall/spring and up to 8 in summer, with salary ranges per credit hour and no guaranteed continued employment.

Candidates must reside within commuting distance or relocate to ensure attendance. Responsibilities include designing syllabi, delivering instruction, maintaining records, and ensuring alignment with GCC and VCCS policies.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree with at least eighteen graduate semester hours in Engineering.
• Ability to teach effectively in-person and online.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to use instructional technology.
• Experience with or willingness to learn AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in Engineering to students from diverse backgrounds.
