UL Solutions is seeking a Summer Intern in Engineered Materials at our Melville, NY location. The role is hybrid—3 days on-site—with a 10–12 week project that offers networking, learning, and real-world impact.

You will work in the Engineered Materials team across Analytical Identification Review, Wire & Cable Certification Engineering, and Plastics Certification Engineering. Candidates must be rising seniors in materials science or related fields and have US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Rising senior pursuing an undergraduate degree in a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a challenging, results-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Analytical Identification Review: review data and support material identification.
• Wire & Cable Certification Engineering: evaluate product constructions and applicable tests.
• Plastics Certification Engineering: evaluate material properties and documentation for compliance.
