The Role
Develops, analyzes, researches, and designs welding techniques, procedures, and applications. Uses engineering principles to manipulate materials for fabrication and assembly processes. Prepares technical documentation in order to implement waterfront welding processes including specifications, analyses, standards, and restrictions. Creates new or modifies current welding methods, techniques, and procedures to substantiate welding theories.
Must Have
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of relevant exempt experience; or
Master’s Degree and 0 years of relevant professional experience.
A Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program is required by Newport News Shipbuilding.
