Responsibilities

  • Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of new and existing designs to determine strength, temperature, and reliability characteristics.
  • Work with Project Manager and cross-functional teams to understand project goals, objectives, and to work toward meeting stated deliverables and schedule deadlines.
  • Create new component and assembly drawings per established Standards and Guidelines.
  • Create additional product specifications (e.g., manufacturing instructions, test procedures, material specs).
  • Utilize New Model and ECO process to create new BOM’s and revise established designs.
  • Work with procurement to obtain quotes and qualify suppliers, and to approve components per the FPA process.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for customers both internal/external.

Job Summary

A rapidly growing division of Nidec Motor Corporation seeks candidates to fill an Engineer IV position, in St. Louis, MO. Nidec is the world’s leading manufacturer of small precision motors, including motors used in hard disk drives and optical disk drives (including Blu‑ray disk drives). Job Description
