UCT is seeking a senior Engineer V in Fremont, CA to lead highly complex engineering initiatives and set technical strategy. This role provides deep subject‑matter expertise, mentors engineers, and partners with cross‑functional leaders to align outcomes with long‑term business goals.

The Engineer V will define standards, drive scalable architectures, evaluate emerging technologies, and contribute to technology roadmaps while ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.

The Engineer V is a senior‑level technical expert responsible for leading highly complex engineering initiatives and solving critical business and technical challenges. This role provides deep subject‑matter expertise, drives technical strategy, and influences engineering standards and best practices across the organization. Operating with broad autonomy, the Engineer V partners with cross‑functional leaders to design scalable solutions, mentor engineering talent, and ensure engineering outcomes align with long‑term business objectives.

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex engineering solutions with enterprise or global impact.
• Serve as a technical authority and subject‑matter expert within a defined engineering discipline.
• Define engineering standards, architectures, and best practices to ensure quality, scalability, and reliability.

Education, Certifications, Requirements:

• Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
• Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or advanced technical training
  • Professional engineering license or advanced technical certifications, as applicable
  • Formal leadership, architecture, or advanced engineering training

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $129,500.00 and $207,200.00/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, includingvariable pay and discretionary awardsin addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO (Paid Time Off) and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in theseadditionalcompensation and benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
