Job summary

Ampcus, Inc. is seeking an Engineer-Transport - IV in Overland Park, KS to support backhaul design and migration efforts for a modern transport network.

The role focuses on updating paths, segments, and equipment, and ensuring IP assignments are current within evolving telecom environments. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of experience in telecommunications, with strong knowledge of backhaul design, circuit inventories, and optical transport networks.

Qualifications

• Experience with backhaul design and management of fiber optic systems and equipment.
• Understanding of Telecommunication systems used for circuit inventory, IP assignments, and project management.
• Knowledge of ROAMs and optical transport networks.

Responsibilities

• Research and update paths, segments, and equipment in CND.
• Update and migrate IP assignments in INAM.
• Support migration of circuit paths and connections to a new transport system.
• Complete Backhaul designs in CND, IP assignments in INAN, and coordinate with vendors to support network growth and modernization in MTPLs region.

Job Title: Engineer-Transport - IV.

Responsibilities:

• Research and update paths, segments, and equipment in CND.
• Update and migrate IP assignments in INAM.
• Support migration of numerous circuit paths and connections to a new transport system.
• Complete Backhaul designs in CND, IP assignments in INAN, and work with vendors to support network Growth and modernization in the MTPLs region.

Must have skills:

• Experience with backhaul design and management of fiber optic systems and equipment
• Understanding of Telecommunication systems used for circuit inventory, IP assignments, and project management.
• Knowledge of ROAMs and optical transport networks

Desired skills:

• Knowledge of Fujitsu optical transport equipment knowledge of Transport service delivery ordering, provisioning, and service provider process.

Education/certifications:

• College Degree Preferred
