Position overview

The Test Team is responsible for testing market-specific Infotainment and Connect systems and services in North America. This includes covering test activities throughout the development process of vehicle models and services. The Engineer Test-Infrastructure Infotainment & Connect ensures timely resolution of all topics related to their field of test infrastructure. Additionally, they serve as the technical expert for Porsche Engineering Services US on their respective projects, related to current and upcoming Porsche models in the market. This role requires staying up-to-date with the latest technology in development and validation within Porsche AG.

Roles & responsibilities

• Provide ready-to-use test infrastructure by setting up, updating, and maintaining test systems (e.g., Hardware-in-the-Loop systems, test benches, test cars) in collaboration with the Coordinator Test-Infrastructure Infotainment & Connect, based on Porsche test plans.
• Commission and configure HiL systems and test benches according to wiring layout schemes, PIN definitions, bus topology, infrastructure design, and test data configuration on backend systems.
• Perform root cause analysis, troubleshooting, software flashing, and coding using tools such as Vector CANape, CANoe, and other data acquisition tools.
• Collaborate with international test infrastructure, integration, and commissioning teams, as well as Porsche testing teams, function development teams, suppliers, and backend developers to share information, improve processes, and exchange knowledge.
• Support Test Drive, Endurance, and Quality Engineering Teams with urgent and ongoing topics.
• Analyze requirement documents and technical specifications to continuously improve and adapt the Test Infrastructure.
• Participate in the commissioning helpdesk for North American regions and support activities like test tours and validation trials, which may require extended travel.
• Document test infrastructure software and hardware information in systems such as Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
