Job summary

The Nevada Gaming Control Board is seeking an Engineer in Las Vegas to evaluate gaming devices, systems, and related technologies for regulatory compliance, ensuring integrity, security, and fairness of operations.

Responsibilities include forensic analysis, statistics and software development related to gaming technology, and ensuring adherence to Nevada laws and regulations. A minimum of four years' related experience or education and a valid Nevada driver’s license are required.

Job Summary

The Nevada Gaming Control Board is seeking dedicated, ethical, and highly motivated professionals to join our team as an Engineer, Technology Division in Las Vegas. The primary purpose of an Engineer is to evaluate, inspect, and ensure that gaming devices, systems, and related technologies comply with applicable laws, regulations, and technical standards while safeguarding the integrity, security, and fairness of gaming operations.


Essential Qualifications

A minimum of four years of related experience or education in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or a closely related field and 3 years of professional experience. This position requires a valid State of Nevada driver’s license.


Job Duties

The Engineer is responsible for evaluating gambling games, gaming devices, and associated equipment for regulatory compliance; performing forensic analysis in the investigation of patron complaints, disputes, or criminal allegations; analyzing technology as it relates to Nevada's gaming regulations; performing statistical analysis and developing computer applications related to the review of gaming technology; and performing related work as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Knowledge, Skills and abilities for this Engineer position include: The ability to develop software in one or more high level programming language; Knowledge of probability and statistics, software development, computer networking, and information security; Knowledge of electronics and digital circuit design; - Ability to perform digital forensics in support of investigations; Excellent written and verbal communication skills and Critical thinking and decision making.
