Qualifications

  • Specialized experience must demonstrate expert knowledge of safety principles and the impact of ESOH.
  • Expert knowledge of ESOH laws and regulations (DOD, DON, USMC, & MCSC) (Command level only).
  • Expert knowledge of ESOH concepts, principles, methods, and techniques.
  • Ability to work on a diverse team engaged in Defense Acquisition program management activities.
  • Knowledge of the following functional areas: communications, ITS, ground transportation, infantry weapon systems, combat equipment, weapons/sensors development, C2, IT systems, and counter IED.
  • Expert knowledge of ground safety requirements.
  • Knowledge of acquisition processes and requirements.
  • Ability to distinguish Command ESOH Staff functions from program level requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-882 DoD Standard Practice for System Safety.
