Inside the Role

The performance operations technician is responsible for running multiple test cells at peak efficiency and ensuring the quality of data meets the expectations of the engineering customer. Responsibilities include testing medium and heavy-duty diesel engines, setting up engines, components, and exhaust after-treatment systems, engine mechanical assembly and disassembly, fabrication work, and troubleshooting test cell issues.

What you Drive at DTNA

• Maintain test cell efficiency and produce quality data for engineering.
• Set up engines, components, and exhaust systems.

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

• Experience with alternative powertrain systems (Hybrid, BEV, fuel cell, eMotors, HV systems).
• ASE or OEM service certifications.
• Enrolled in technical degree programs.
• Knowledge in engine testing and mechanical assembly/disassembly.

Work Location

This position is based in Detroit, MI. Relocation assistance is not available.
