Job summary

Wade Trim is seeking an Engineering Summer Intern to support infrastructure initiatives across its U.S. offices. Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (freshman or sophomore preferred) and possess a valid driver’s license.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office is required. The candidate should have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to coordinate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine calculations under senior engineer.
• Obtain drawings from local municipalities.
• Perform data analysis of continuous flow and rainfall data.
• Copy and scan project-related drawings.
• Assist engineer with development of spreadsheet tools.
• Ability to work with project managers and engineers and take direction from them.
• Work with the Planning department.
• Work with the Design (structural) department.
• Work with the Hydraulic and Hydrology department.
• Communicate effectively with engineering staff and clients.
• Maintain excellent client relations.
• Maintain a safe working environment.

Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering (freshman or sophomore status preferred) and possess a valid driver's license. Other types of Engineering degrees will also be considered. Familiarity of Microsoft Office is required. The candidate must be self-motivated, work well with others, and have strong written and verbal communication/coordination skills.
