Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer who combines strong business domain knowledge with hands‑on technical development expertise. The ideal candidate will serve as a bridge between business and technology teams, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions while contributing to data‑intensive development initiatives. This role requires a professional capable of performing business analysis, designing and developing software solutions, analyzing complex data, and collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.


The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening team capabilities, improving delivery efficiency, and supporting strategic business initiatives through innovative technology solutions.


Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Stakeholder Collaboration


  1. Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, document, and validate functional and technical requirements for software solutions and business initiatives.

  2. Conduct impact assessments, gap analyses, process evaluations, and feasibility studies to identify opportunities for technology‑driven improvements.

  3. Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring clear communication, alignment of expectations, and successful delivery of business objectives.

  4. Consult with customers and business partners regarding project status, business requirements, solution approaches, risks, and technical considerations.

  5. Facilitate discussions, workshops, and requirement review sessions with cross‑functional teams to ensure comprehensive understanding of business needs.


Software Development & Technical Leadership


  1. Research, design, develop, test, implement, and support complex software applications, systems, and data solutions.

  2. Analyze user needs and business processes to design scalable, maintainable, and high‑performing software solutions.

  3. Perform technical reviews of requirements, source data analysis, and system integrations to ensure solution quality and feasibility.

  4. Maintain and enhance existing applications, systems, and services to improve functionality, performance, reliability, and user experience.

  5. Develop efficient data processing, transformation, reporting, and integration solutions that support business operations and decision‑making.

  6. Evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools, recommending enhancements to existing platforms and architectures.

  7. Collaborate with architects and development teams to define technical designs and ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards and best practices.


Agile Delivery & Quality Assurance


  1. Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.

  2. Work within Agile methodologies and contribute throughout the lifecycle of user stories, with emphasis on coding, testing, release management, and deployment automation.

  3. Ensure delivery of stable, secure, scalable, and high‑performing applications through rigorous testing, code reviews, and quality assurance practices.

  4. Identify technical risks, dependencies, and implementation challenges, proactively communicating issues and recommending effective solutions.

  5. Contribute to CI/CD, automation, monitoring, and operational excellence initiatives to improve delivery velocity and system reliability.


Leadership & Continuous Improvement


  1. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, promoting engineering best practices and professional development.

  2. Coordinate and support cross‑functional projects while collaborating with business, product, operations, architecture, and technology teams.

  3. Research, evaluate, and adopt new technologies, development methodologies, and process improvements to drive innovation and operational efficiency.

  4. Foster a high‑performing, collaborative, and self‑organized team environment focused on accountability and continuous improvement.

  5. Promote knowledge sharing, documentation standards, and reusable solution patterns across the organization.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Minimum high school diploma and 10 years of progressive experience in software systems programming, application development, and enterprise solution delivery.

  • Strong experience gathering, analyzing, documenting, and translating business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Proven ability to bridge business and technical teams, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technology implementations.

  • Extensive experience designing, developing, testing, implementing, and supporting complex enterprise software applications and systems.

  • Strong knowledge of software architecture, application modernization, and re‑engineering of legacy systems.

  • Experience working within large enterprise environments with highly distributed infrastructures.

  • Deep understanding of data mapping, data extraction, data migration, and system integration methodologies.

  • Experience with data warehousing, data marts, decision support systems, and relational and dimensional data modeling.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform source data analysis, gap analysis, impact assessments, and solution feasibility evaluations.

  • Proficiency in Oracle-based technologies, web application development, databases, and modern software development frameworks.

  • Experience optimizing application performance, stabilizing processes, troubleshooting production issues, and improving system reliability.

  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile/Scrum methodologies, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.

  • Ability to work at an advanced technical level across all phases of software development, from requirements analysis through deployment and production support.

  • Proven experience coordinating cross‑functional projects and collaborating effectively across business, product, operations, architecture, and technology organizations.

  • Excellent planning, organizational, problem‑solving, decision‑making, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and deadlines.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present technical and business information to stakeholders, leadership, and clients.

  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate complex business and production issues, assess business impact, and execute appropriate corrective actions.

  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies, business processes, and industry trends while maintaining strong attention to detail.

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior team members, provide technical guidance, and contribute to building a high‑performing team culture.

  • Experience in healthcare, health insurance, claims processing, provider solutions, or healthcare technology environments strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, healthcare data governance, security standards, and regulatory compliance requirements preferred.

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this position is $120-140K. Specific offers take into account a candidate's education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate's work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.
