Job summary

MultiPlan in McLean, VA seeks a Client Solutions Manager to lead client migration/testing strategy, serve as Product Owner, and supervise a technical team supporting deployments and production inquiries.

JOB SUMMARY:

Client Solutions Manager role involves multifaceted responsibilities including serving as a Product Owner for individual clients, acting as a Solution Engineer for clients, and overseeing implementation and testing related tasks for supporting client projects.

The Client Solutions (CSOL) manager is also responsible for managing and coordinating a team of technical staff supporting product development, client deployments, production enquiries and achievement of department goals.

JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overview:
  • Be primarily assisting and leading Client Migration and Testing Strategy & Execution for E2E Testing as part of Digital Transformation,
  • Manage and lead department staff, overseeing hiring, training, and performance management to ensure competency and achievement of department goals.
  • Provide oversight of daily operations, coordinate project activities, and analyze workflows to meet priorities and goals, fostering CSOL team's role as a trusted partner in business innovation and growth.
  • Develop and execute plans to optimize project workflow and achieve departmental objectives.
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with internal SMEs, vendors and clients to achieve common objectives such as to clarify project intent, identify requirements, propose solutions, and determine ways to implement solutions efficiently.
  • Evaluate project proposals for feasibility and ensure alignment with company and departmental goals.
  • Prepare and review operational processes to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Select, develop, and evaluate staff to confirm a high level of performance within teams
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and uphold company core values.
Key Competencies:
  • Product Ownership: Experience in overseeing product or feature development from inception to delivery.
  • Agile/Kanban: Proficiency in Agile methodologies especially Kanban, including backlog review, allocating resources, managing timelines and retrospectives.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to effectively engage and collaborate with stakeholders, customers, and development teams.
  • Planning & Prioritization: Advanced skills in prioritizing tasks based on customer impact and business value while aligned with organizational goals. Ensure that implementations are completed on time, within budget, and meets all client expectations.
  • Team Leadership/Collaboration: Experience leading cross-functional teams, managing and mentoring subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
  • Technical Understanding: Proficient in technical aspects related to project/product completion and ability to work closely with development teams. Ability to test and troubleshoot final system setups.
  • Continuous Improvement: Commitment to improving process efficiencies and Agile processes continually.
  • Technical Support to Sales: Able to use technical knowledge of product offerings to advise and support sales teams with pricing estimates and implementation guidance based on customer requirements.
  • Customer Engagement: Ability to engage with customers, understand their technical requirements, and propose solutions in a professional manner.
  • Review of Solution Design: Proficiency in reviewing technical solution proposals and ensure alignment of client/project requirements.
  • Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Client Implementation: Experience in implementing solutions and managing projects using EDI, Web Service, and Proprietary formats. Evaluates use cases and client needs to develop efficient solutions that support business processes. Analyzes customers' technical specifications, recommends the best product configuration and installation process, and estimates implementation effort, time, and resources. Reviews sales proposals for accuracy, completeness, and quality.
  • Trading Partner Integration: Skill in onboarding and managing trading partners for Claims flow and pricing.
  • EDI Transactions: Knowledge of EDI standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML) and ensuring compliance with industry requirements. Proficiency in EDI mapping and file parsing tools such as NotePad++, UltraEdit or TextPad.
  • SQL Knowledge: Intermediate to advanced querying skills on Oracle SQL database. TOAD knowledge is a plus.
  • Production Support: Ability to use system and client-specific knowledge to investigate issues and respond to enquiries quickly and efficiently in the Production environment.
  • Project Management: Skill in managing projects from initiation through implementation and support phases. Often act as a bridge between stakeholders and development teams to code switch between technical and sales language, remove roadblocks and decide actions.
  • Documentation and Training: Ability to create documentation and provide training on claims flow processes and best practices to internal teams using Confluence and JIRA tools.
REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, and Training):
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in information technology or related field
  • Minimum 10 years in software systems; of which at least 8+ years of experience with healthcare EDI systems
  • Minimum 5 years in a leadership position with a client facing role in healthcare domain
  • Required licensures, professional certifications, and/or Board certifications as applicable
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently as well as part of a team is necessary
  • This position manages staff and therefore must be familiar with performance evaluation and monitoring. The individual must also exhibit leadership strengths.
  • The incumbent manages departmental processes and is a competent professional who knows and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Originality, and/or ingenuity are critical and required to complete job responsibilities.
Communication:
  • Excellent Verbal Communication and Written Skills & ability to tailor communication to audience.
  • Provide consistent status reports to superiors and project team.
  • Ability to understand when to elevate an issue and to ensure that decisions consider the full implications (business, legal, and competitive) to both the Company and the customer.
Technical:
  • Strong basic technical skills as well as Knowledge of technical concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Knowledge of reporting solutions and tools to support job responsibilities
  • Ability to use software, hardware, and peripherals related to job responsibilities, including MS Office
  • Knowledge on healthcare claim processing and related industry terminology

COMPENSATION:

The salary range for this position is $130k-150K. Specific offers take into account a candidate's education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate's work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.
