Summary

You will serve as an Engineer/Scientist in the Cybersecurity Engineering Branch (GXVM), Trusted Microelectronics Division (GXV), Global Deterrence Defense Dept (GX) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

The ND-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-14/15. The salary range shown above includes all positions within the band, with the actual salary potentially limited to a GS-14 Step 10 depending on geographic location.

Duties include:

• Serving as Systems Security Principal Engineer in GXVM.
• Guiding and supporting systems security engineers and program offices.
• Staying current with SSE landscape in Anti-Tamper, Hardware Assurance, and Hardware Cybersecurity.
• Fulfilling leadership roles in SSE areas across DoD.
• Developing strategic visions and participating in working groups.
• Managing projects, writing proposals, and participating in outreach and mentoring.

Minimum requirements include:

• U.S. Citizenship
• Suitability for federal employment
• Security clearance
• Participation in direct deposit
• Compliance with DoD policies and certifications in cybersecurity and acquisition
• Willingness to travel as needed

Qualifications must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or above the ND-04 (GS-12/13) level, analyzing and evaluating technical projects to improve program efficiency.

Educational requirements vary by engineering series, including accredited engineering degrees or equivalent experience and certifications.
