Job summary

Red Ventures is seeking a Hybrid AI/ML Engineer based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, with strong React and TypeScript skills and Python knowledge. You will prototype next-gen solutions, build AI-driven proofs of concept, and collaborate across teams to translate research into production-ready APIs and services.

Experience with AWS and Google Cloud, plus interest in OpenAI/Anthropic/LLMs, will be highly valued as you iterate in cloud environments and push the boundaries of what’s possible.

Qualifications

• Proficient in React and React Native (TypeScript) with understanding of Python.
• Strong API development experience and familiarity with AWS and Google Cloud.
• Keen interest in OpenAI, Anthropic, LangGraph and Large Language Models (LLMs).

Responsibilities

• Research and prototype next-generation solutions using TS, NextJS and Python to validate hypotheses.
• Experiment with AI frameworks and build POCs showcasing new capabilities.
• Design and implement experimental services and APIs for future product innovations.

Job description

This role requires a hybrid schedule and will be based in our Santure office (San Juan, PR) (Tuesday through Thursday) and work fully remotely on Mondays and Fridays each week.

What You'll Do:

• Research and prototype next-generation solutions using modern tech stacks (TypeScript, NextJS, Python) to validate technical hypotheses and prove concepts before production
• Experiment with emerging AI frameworks, tools, and architectures-building POCs that push the boundaries of what's possible
• Design and implement experimental services and APIs that serve as technical foundations for future product innovations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate research findings into actionable technical strategies
• Rapidly iterate on prototypes using cloud infrastructure (Terraform/AWS CDK) while maintaining flexibility for pivots
• Drive technical discovery through hands-on coding, measurement, and analysis-moving from idea to validated proof-of-concept
• Work autonomously on ambiguous problems where the solution path isn't clear, using agile principles to manage uncertainty
