Job Summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautic Systems seeks a Structural Analysis Engineer for its Oklahoma City, OK facility. The role is 1st shift with a 9/80 schedule, performing structural modification stress analysis in a fast‑paced development environment. Relocation assistance may be available. Clearance required for start: No. Clearance type: Secret. Travel: Yes, 10% of the time.

Responsibilities
  • Perform stress analysis for primary and secondary structures.
  • Review completed analyses, drawings, and repairs for accuracy, clarity, and completeness.
  • Collaborate effectively with other disciplines during the design development process.
  • Present and explain structural issues and solutions to internal management and customers.
  • Maintain and improve part designs, equipment, and systems to support production deliveries.
  • Develop comprehensive and practical solutions to complex problems aligned with program objectives.
  • Evaluate as‑built products for compliance with standards, procedures, and specifications.
  • Utilize structural analysis methods and documentation, including hand‑sheet analysis and manipulation of large finite element models.
  • Perform random vibration analysis using tools such as Catia, FEMAP, Patran, and Nastran.
  • Analyze damage tolerance and durability of metal and composite airframe structures.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) with a minimum of 2 years of aerospace structural design experience, or a Master’s degree with 0 years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis methods, documentation, and large finite element model manipulation.
  • Experience with PATRAN or FEMAP.
  • Experience in bonded composite or metallic primary and secondary aircraft structure analysis.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret or higher clearance, and a Special Access Program clearance within a reasonable timeframe.

Principal Engineer Requirements (optional path): 5 years of aerospace structural design experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years with a Master’s; or 0 years with a PhD.

Salary & Benefits
  • Primary level: $73,100.00 – $109,700.00 per year.
  • Secondary level: $90,300.00 – $135,500.00 per year.
  • Potential eligibility for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and possibly long‑term incentives.
  • Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, a savings plan, company‑paid holidays, and paid time off.
