BGE, Inc. is hiring an Engineer in Training (EIT) up to a Project Engineer (PE) to support the design and engineering efforts of Water/Wastewater Treatment Facility Plants. The position is based out of our Austin, TX offices: South Austin (Directors Blvd) or North Austin (Louis Henna Blvd).

Job Responsibilities

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
• Registered EIT or PE in Texas required or to be acquired through reciprocity within 6 months of hire
• 2-5+ years of experience in public works and/or municipal services projects
• Design engineering experience in water/wastewater treatment facilities, including biological treatment systems, membrane treatment facilities, pump stations, and piping design

Job Qualifications

• Perform design engineering work on civil projects related to water and wastewater systems, including modeling, pipelines, lift stations, and pump stations
• Coordinate and oversee engineering tasks by technical staff and subconsultants
• Partner with senior staff to develop and maintain client relationships
